Welcome to Kamloops School of the Arts

Vision: KSA is committed to increasing students’ success through research-based, arts driven education.

Our goals reflect our pursuit of excellence, within a unique and welcoming educational environment. It is paramount to connect students to their interests and their passions while they grow and learn at our school.

It is vital to students' success to foster an inclusive, adaptable and supportive school culture that allows students to express themselves as they develop cognitively, socially and emotionally. Academic rigor ensures each student acquires strong foundational skills and core competencies. 

Our teaching staff are professional artist-teachers within their fields. We strive to develop and strengthen partnerships to enrich the way we learn, teach and work. Professional artists, musicians, dancers, mentors and film makers are regular guests. These professionals become workshop leaders and presenters at KSA.  

Our approach to teaching and learning embraces the redesigned BC curriculum. This includes the way in which we honor the First Peoples principles of learning and aboriginal worldviews. KSA actively embraces the gifts of learning we receive from guest elders and experts to enrich our classroom studies.
